Our main recording facility, designed and built by legendary studio designer Andy Munro, combines stacks of high-end vintage analogue equipment with state of the art digital recording tools. The selection of live spaces allows great sonic flexibility, and a huge variety of performance setups, from total isolation to intimate performances in one space. At the heart of the studio is an exceptional Studer 900 series console, that spent 25 years at the Berlin Opera House, before finding a home with us. We use the highest quality Lynx Aurora converters, but if digital isn’t your thing, our 2 Studer tape machines will allow you to make a record without even turning on a computer. The studio also features a full range Quested HM-415 main monitor system, that reveals every last detail of your sound. We have an enormous collection of outboard by the likes of Telefunken, Tube-Tech, Elysia, Manley, UREI, SSL, Altec, Vac-Rac, API, and many more, plus a selection of over 80 microphones from Akg, Neumann, Telefunken, Schoeps,Beyer, Blue, Calrec, Sennheiser, Elecrtovoice, to name only a few. We have a huge selection of musical instruments and amplifiers, from the late 1950s to the present day, for use at no extra charge.
